We were up in St Andrews for a day out and just looking for somewhere to have a coffee, everywhere was full. We stumbled across We Are Zest, glad we did as I would rather pay my money to a good cause rather than some big conglomerate that really doesn't care. We had lovely cappuccinos, a fresh scone, butter and jam and a rather gorgeous toffee crispy cake. I couldn't believe how quiet it was inside. It was lovely and cool, with comfy seats and a great atmosphere. If I lived nearby I would be in every day for a coffees. Would highly recommend a visit if you are ever in St Andrews.

Though this rustic, charming cafe was busy, I greatly enjoyed coming here for the tea and soup. I came here for my birthday, and though the staff were harried with all the customers, they provided kindly service. The soup of the day, butternut squash, proved a creamy autumnal delight, and I equally enjoy my steaming, sweet Earl Grey tea. Payment is easy here, and you can take as much time as you need with your food without feeling rushed. I recommend sitting outside and sipping your warm beverage and watching the excited crowds of people pass along the old stone streets.

The owner, Lisa, is a sweetheart! The employees are friendly and attentive. The food was delicious! I love the veggie sausage roll. It's not really sausage but way better and I'd eat them every day if I could! Thanks for one of the best breakfasts in Scotland!

We went to this cafe on the two days we were in Saint Andrew’s and we loved it! The service was so friendly and I appreciated the honesty of recommendations by the person who was taking the orders. It made my day learning about this wonderful community minded cafe for everyone. Sarah from NZ

An extremely popular place. It was busy when we were there in the afternoon. Coffee was delicious. Soup and sandwiches....wonderful. cakes..drooling at the thought of them. It's such a lovely place to visit, the staff were charming and even as busy as they were they stopped for a wee natter. I'm a. manual wheelchair user , the only teeny difficulty for me was the ramp up to the disabled loo. I needed a wee push from my husband. The loo was extremely well maintained . I honestly can't rate this place high enough, so much so we are travelling from Dunfermline, an hour away , just to go back and visit , hopefully tomorrow.

Had an absolutely fantastic experience dining here! We stumbled upon this cafe by chance, and I’m so glad we did. I was pleased to see they offered gluten-free bread and asked if the Full Scottish Breakfast could be made gluten-free. Right away, they asked whether it was for coeliac disease or an intolerance, which, as someone with coeliac, was a huge relief. The staff took great care to ensure my meal was safe, even mentioning that it might take a little longer so they could thoroughly wipe down surfaces before preparation. While it’s not a dedicated gluten-free kitchen, I felt completely comfortable and safe eating here. On top of that, the food was absolutely delicious, and the latte was perfect. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I visit St Andrews!
